Join us for an evening with JOHN HAW, winemaker
of Maryhill Wines
Wednesday May 10 from 6 to 8 pm
Tastings and hors d’ouvres - $12 per person

John Haw
is the genius behind Maryhill’s California clobbering Zinfandels
(2000 Gold and Best of Class, West Coast Wine Competition, Santa
Rosa) and his latest Washington Wine Summit winner (#1 out of
1,100 Washington wines) the 2005 Viognier.
John will join us at Gorge Wine Merchants, for
a rare public appearance, to pour and discuss some of his wines.
A true master winemaker that is respected throughout the industry,
including his peers here in the Gorge, he has over twenty five
years of winemaking experience at legendary wineries such as Pedroncelli
in Sonoma and Sokol Blosser in the Willamette valley.
His 2003 Proprietor's Reserve Malbec is an incredible
expression of a classic Bordeaux varietal normally, except in
Argentina, held out for blending. It has smoldering aromatics
and an intense character of black cherry. The Malbec element is
the primary grape of his Serendipity Reserve Blend which won the
American Wine Society gold medal in December of 2005.
